작가노트 

​

유래없는 펜데믹을 겪고 있는 이 시대의 화두는 바로 자연일 것이다.
영원하며 완전한 미를 지닌 자연 속에서 치유를 얻고, 
생명력을 회복하며 순수함을 찾게 됨이 무위 자연이다.
현재의 혼란스러운 세상 속에서 유년 시절의 순수함과 
때묻지 않은 천진한 아름다움을 회복하고
무위자연의 평온의 시간, 절대 자유의 순간을 소망하게 된다. 
장자는 아무런 작위가 없는 ‘무아’와 ‘무위’의 경지에 이르렀을 때 
자연과 완전히 합치되는 것이며 절대적인 자유와 평온을 얻게 된다 하였다.
teddy bear는 ‘무아’와 ‘무위’의 상태를 가장 잘 드러내고 있는 오브제이다.  
세상에서 가장 거짓없이 순수한 자연 속에 가만히 놓여져 있는 
teddy bear는 무아와 무위의 존재이다. 
어지럽고 불안정한 현실이지만 무위자연 속에서 하늘에서 내려오는 초월적인 
자유와 최고의 평화로움을 얻고 유년의 천진함과 순수함을 회복하길 바라는 
작가의 바람을 테디베어에 담았다.
전시를 통해 관객들에게 잠시나마 선물같은 시간이 되기를 바란다.

Artist Statement​

​

Nature is probably the topic of conversation in this era 
that is experiencing an unprecedented pandemic.
Healing in eternal nature, nature with perfect beauty,
Restoring vitality and finding innocence is unnatural nature.
It is a break from the chaotic world of the present, 
and the innocence of childhood and It is to restore the unspoiled and innocent beauty.
I long for a moment of peace, a moment of absolute freedom in nature.
In order to reach the state of complete freedom, Zhuangzi has to get rid of all his mind, desires and emotions, and even forget his consciousness and existence.
In order to reach the state of absolute freedom, Zhuangzi insists on 'selflessness' of not being conscious of one's existence and 'non-action' of not performing conscious actions.
The teddy bear best reveals the state of ‘selflessness’ and ‘non-action’.
It is an object that contains various emotions and the innocence of a child.
The teddy bear, lying quietly in the world's most pure nature, 
is an existence of 'selflessness'.
The teddy bear contains the artist's wish to achieve transcendent freedom
and the highest level of peace, free from the chaotic and unstable reality.
In addition, it contains the hope that the exhibition will be a gift-like time 
for the audience for a while.
