[작가노트]

 

알로록 달로록, 우리의 날들

(allorok dallorok, our lives)

 

“알로록 달로록 유리”는 전통을 담는 스테인드 글라스이다.

 

스테인드글라스 작업은 판유리를 잘라 붙이는 작업이다.

색색의 유리를 비추어 보며 하나의 그림을 완성한다.

잘 어울리는 색깔도, 잘 어울리지 않을 것 같던 무늬도

조각을 맞추다보면 어느새 하나의 작품이 된다.

 

그렇게 작업을 하다 보면

오랜 시간 속 좋았던, 안 좋았던 기억들이 과거와 현재를 오가며 흩어졌다 모여진다.

결국에는 그것들이 모두 나의 날들이 된다.

 

힘들었던 기억도, 행복했던 기억도

지나고 보면 모두 알로록 달로록한 ‘우리의 날들’ 에 지나지 않는다.

[Artist statement]

 

“allorok dallorok Glass” is a stained glass that contains tradition.

 

Stained glass work is the work of cutting and pasting plate glass.

A picture is completed by looking at the colored glass.

 

Colors that go well together, patterns that don't seem to go well together when you put the pieces together, it becomes a work of art before you know it.

If you work like that the good and bad memories of a long time are scattered and gathered back and forth between the past and the present.

 

Eventually they all become my days.

 

Hard memories and happy memories

looking back, it's nothing more than 'our days' that are all sweet.
